As always all Ottawa-Carleton District School Board elementary and secondary schools remain in close contact with the Ottawa Public Health Unit and are fully prepared to respond to advice and direction aimed at protecting the health of our school communities. We have been advised by Ottawa Public Health that there are no actions that need to be taken by schools or the board at this point beyond the proactive advice that is provided to parents and the school community offered in our letter to Parents/Guardians. Reporting thresholds for illness are also outlined in this letter. If a situation arises at any school that presents an imminent threat to the safety of students as determined by Ottawa Public Health, the Ottawa-Carleton District school Board will communicate that information to its larger school community immediately.
